First Business to Open at Emporia Pavilions

Hobby Lobby, a crafting and home decor store, opened to the public on August 14, 2017, as the first business within Emporia Pavilions in Emporia, Kansas. Thomson Walker, LLC was proud to assist the development team in securing the property and the new user and is looking forward to additional users in the future. The Metro North Tax Increment Financing Plan was approved by the City of Kansas City, Missouri in December 2015, clearing the way for the developer to begin redeveloping the site. The redevelopment of the Metro North Mall continues under the direction of Metro North Crossing, LLC. Thomson Walker is legal counsel for the developer and has assisted with securing tax increment financing from the City of Kansas City, Missouri. Thomson Walker Client IAS Partners Ltd. to Purchase and Redevelop Metro North Mall

Thomson Walker is pleased to announce that its client, IAS Partners Ltd., will be purchasing the Metro North Mall in Kansas City, Missouri for redevelopment. Thomson Walker will assist IAS Partners with securing incentives and working with the City of Kansas City, Missouri and various economic development entities as the project progresses. Thomson Walker has previously assisted the developer with the redevelopment of the Blue Ridge Mall and the Antioch Mall.
